CPU integrated Graphics
I built a new PC with an RTX 2070, an i7 9700K, and 32 GB RAM. I had unused monitors and wanted five but only four could fit in the case. The RTX 2070 supports only four monitors at once, so I enabled integrated graphics on the i7. I’m curious if turning this feature on will affect the processor’s performance. Using it for just background tasks shouldn’t hurt, but I want to be sure. Would anyone know if this setting impacts the CPU? Thanks!
The system logic indicates it should function properly, but it needs more effort. All those monitors are already configured. Why do you need five in front? Plugin 4 monitors on the 2070 may reduce performance even when using one. I have similar specs—two monitors (27" and 1080p) connected, plus another 24" monitor. I don’t want to connect the third one, feeling it’s unnecessary and not useful.
I rely on three screens and I’m not sure I could switch back to two. While playing, the left screen shows Chrome with YouTube/Netflix/Hulu, the game runs in the middle, and the right has my monitoring software split open in another Chrome window for forums. It’s hard to imagine returning to just one display. Losing my mind would be a real issue. Five might seem excessive, but it feels like too much.
Absolutely in favor of that! I wouldn’t even think about returning to a single screen. The balance feels perfect—playing on the 4K main display while keeping all the necessary details accessible on the other one. That’s the ideal setup for me!
