Currently, yes—but if it's under warranty, it might be better to swap out the CPU. The crack could lead to problems later on.

nope, out of warranty. It's well out of warranty. I mean it's a skylake CPU. It'll just have to hold up for a couple of years or so. I can always upgrade to a better one after a year of use. I've been using the thing for about 3 years already...
