Static doesn't matter here. Once everything is properly grounded, you're safe—unless you deliberately create a strong static buildup before using your device or yourself.

That's odd these laptops stopped being sold in 2020. It seems unusual if it was a real problem, though it does feel strange. For dust, a better solution would definitely be needed.
In early 2021 (possibly local variation), I removed dust using a paintbrush from the two visible fans. Should I still apply more thermal paste, even though it's the new version?
