cpu cooler for i7-8700k
Hello everyone,
I’m preparing a build and have the i7-8700k, a gigabyte GA H270 motherboard, and a Thermaltake N26 (ATX mid tower). I don’t intend to overclock it right away, but after 5 to 6 months I won’t be able to afford liquid cooling since my budget is already exceeded. I’m looking for a solid and dependable CPU cooler that would cost no more than $40 to $55. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I was thinking about purchasing the mini Zotac GTX 1080, but now I’m wondering if it’s better to wait for the GTX 2080 (1180) as prices have dropped to around $50 to $60 in recent years. Since I’m planning this during my vacation from June to mid-August, my main concern is whether waiting is worth it because I can’t wait that long.
Thanks for your help.
Choose either the 7700K with H270 board or the 8700K (preferred) paired with a Z370 board. For the CPU cooler, the Cryorig H7 is adequate. Regarding GPU costs, they are currently quite high, so it might be wise to wait until prices stabilize.
