I was experimenting with overclocking my already boosted PC to push performance further, but I’m unsure what went wrong. All my games would crash because the CPU and GPU hit 100% usage and crashed. After undoing the overclocking, temperatures in both components increased during gameplay, with the CPU reaching 50-71°C (rarely 71) and the GPU at 60-74°C (also rarely maxed). In Rainbow Six Siege, my CPU usage stayed around 15% while the GPU was 60%-70%. Now the CPU is at full load and the GPU at 97%, with temperatures in the 70s and reaching 80, which is concerning. Launching PUBG now causes it to crash. I built this PC last month without issues during overclocking. Could you help me figure out what went wrong so I can fix it? Feel free to ask any questions I have.

? What PSU do you have?? Additionally, your GPU is causing a bottleneck. Use MSI Afterburner and overclock the GPU. For more details, see this link:

Update your BIOS and install the latest MB firmware (check YouTube if unsure). Gaming motherboards often receive updates to resolve stability problems. Overclocking the CPU shouldn't interfere with your GPU. How did you perform your last overclock? Do you have additional fans added to your case? Sharing a screenshot of your processes and performance from Task Manager would be useful.

Consider the task manager to determine the source of the high CPU usage first. After that, we can proceed with further analysis.
