I'm working with one paired to a 3080. It feels almost the same as my BF's 7700X and 4080 (thanks for the 1440p display, he's on a bigger 4K). My 3600 might be limiting the 3080, but I'm holding off on the Blac Friday to upgrade to the 5800X3D. The 5600X3D is also a solid option but not available where I am.

It seems the combined GPU load isn't fully at 100%, yet my system's overall TimeSpy rating stays high, usually in Excellent or Good ranges. Yes, checking the 7700X review on GN can help—performance really depends on the game.
