Alright everyone, if anyone is experiencing the same issue, please start with a complete scan of your drives. This didn’t work for me because the file running in the background wasn’t detected as a virus, even with Malwarebytes. I’ve tried various monitoring tools, but they treated it like a task manager and removed it instantly.

I discovered Remote Process Explorer worked better. It showed that unarchiver.exe was consuming about 25% of my CPU—almost all on one core. After searching online, I found that ContentManagement in Task Scheduler triggers this process every 15 minutes.

I deleted both the unarchiver.exe file (around 200MB+) and the ContentManagement entry from Task Scheduler. The affected location was C:\Users\Windows 10\AppData\Roaming\unarchiver. Some users on Reddit mentioned it started after installing a cracked version of Hitman 3, which might be the cause.

It’s been about 30-40 minutes since I last checked my PC, and nothing is popping up like before. The files are behaving normally now, or they regenerate as usual with other viruses. I’ll keep monitoring and update this post if anything changes. Thanks for all your suggestions!

This appears to be a system operation. I didn't remove it, but I could have recommended disabling it temporarily for safety. If needed later, you can restore it using the DISM command. Hopefully it works as expected!

I already removed it, though I’m not sure if it was a system operation. In the action panel there’s just one option labeled “unarchiver.” I’ll verify on my laptop—if there’s no Content Management available, I’ll be confident it wasn’t a system process.
