CPU 99 Degrees
CPU 99 Degrees
I recently owned an Intel Pentium G3258 and overclocked it, adjusting the voltage and other settings today. I purchased an Intel i5 4690K and placed it in its default temperature setting of 99 degrees. I hoped this would help determine if a reset from my previous processor was necessary, but those options are no longer available. I was considering using a stock cooler, but I expected higher temperatures, so I assumed voltage changes were needed. If anyone has advice or knows what to do, please let me know.
Verify that the cooler is installed properly (ensure thermal paste was applied) and restart the system.

It's the cooler with the thermal paste, but I'm unsure how to reset the BIOS.
It's the stock cooler with thermal paste, and you're wondering how to reset the BIOS. Specific steps are detailed in your motherboard's user manual.
