Check your settings and ensure stability before increasing performance. Adjust BIOS parameters carefully, monitor temperatures, and verify cooling. If issues persist, consider consulting a professional or updating firmware.

It operates smoothly at 2.7 under normal conditions. It doesn’t consistently stay at 4.2, so it’s not stuck on the desktop. When under stress, such as during gaming or benchmarks like Cinebench, it performs around 2.7.

I noticed you reference a 2600k and an H61 motherboard in your messages. Are those the components you're referring to? The H61 board doesn't support overclocking, so temperatures might spike during heavy use. Check the actual CPU temps under load—could be thermal throttling.

It seems like you're referencing a past situation where something changed negatively, but the focus is on a particular FX series that was very popular at the time.

I received just these temporarily, giving me more time to prepare for a B 550 3600k.

Temperature is 78°C with load applied and a water cooler running on the CPU.
