my setup includes a Ryzen 7 2700x and an ASUS ROG B450-F gaming board. idle speeds are around 2.18 ghz, with an RTX 2060 Super 8 GB and 32 GB RAM at 3000 MHz. in fortnite i'm seeing about 30 fps.

Check if V-Sync or G-Sync is active in your game or FPS settings. Disable them and run DDU, then update your graphics driver to the newest version.

I disabled VSync and am playing Fortnite with low settings. Ray tracing is off, DLSS is enabled at low levels, and only Discord is active in the background.

Set the configuration to avoid heavy strain on your CPU. Play the game fully enabled, use high settings for ray tracing and DLSS, enable auto settings, and disable VSync.
