Prefer earlier COD versions over MW2, especially on PC. Cod2, cod4, cod waw work well. CS is versatile overall. Just a personal preference. Cod4 includes many mods; I really like the freezetag servers there. I often switch between CSGO and CSS.
These games are quite distinct in their approach. While they both involve shooting mechanics within a contemporary military context, the differences run deeper than that. Setting aside cost and industry norms, I clearly favor CS. That doesn’t imply I dislike CoD; I’ve invested significant effort into the original Modern Warfare. CS offers more tactical depth, demands careful planning, and rewards patience and practice. CoD tends to feel more like a fast-paced arena shooter, with quick transitions once the game begins. It’s ideal for brief 15-minute sessions while you wait for your favorite show. A solid CS match usually lasts 45–90 minutes, making it less suitable for those with limited downtime.
