My noctua 15 cooler fits well, but I'm having trouble installing the top left screw on my motherboard. The left one won't fit properly.

Maybe just the stripped threads? I’m unsure about the size and thread count of that screw, but it should be easy to recreate. A fitting for the screw might also help. I could be guessing what you mean by “don’t want to screw in.” Edited June 28, 2022 by Bombastinator

Ah, the motherboard opening is too narrow? That's pretty odd.

The issue is clear, but the motherboard remains unchanged, so I’ll keep it as it stands.

The obvious solution is swapping the stand-off or using a compatible screw. For coolers, it seems the stand-off doesn’t fit and is excessively thick with its own nut and backplate. If a backplate isn’t present, the motherboard can be installed to hold it. Always follow cooler installation manuals unless you’ve done this many times before. In this situation, removing the stand-off is the recommended approach.
