She once got a powerful PC from her dad, but the graphics card was the weak spot. After I suggested Steam, she bought some games and installed McAfee antivirus. When Steam appeared as a virus, she removed it and won’t let me re-download it. I believe it was a type of malware that tricks other programs into thinking they’re infected. Even though she said he was still convinced, I’m wondering if there’s something she could do to help shift his view or find reliable sources about it.

I believe your dad might have set up a fake Macafee version. To be honest, Macafee is essentially a prank. Even the official release seems suspicious and could contain malicious code.

I’ll look for a relevant article about that as well. Your System pfp is cool too! It was her dad, not mine, but I’m sure you get it. My dad and I used McAfee once—it really messed up our PCs. I’d suggest she give it a try as well.
