Your RTX 4070 Super runs smoothly at its default fan speed, but adjusting it to stay cooler helps maintain performance. Your AMD 7700X is also stable around 85-93°C during gaming, which is normal. Since you're keeping the system quiet and comfortable, these temperatures are within safe limits. No issues expected.

Both the GPU and CPU can handle those temperatures, but they’re near their maximum capabilities. I’d avoid running things at such high heat. If it’s winter in your area, by summer you’ll probably see thermal throttling on either part, even with normal fans.

From a logical perspective, it makes sense to stick with the curves provided by MSI for fans and GPUs since you're unfamiliar with fan curves.

adjust the fan curve to operate at maximum speed while maintaining a nose-friendly profile. at 90°C it should reach 100% efficiency. edited February 23, 2025 by thrasher_565
