As long as you keep things the same, everything should work. You should aim to reduce your existing C volume and make a fresh partition from the leftover space. This prevents unintended changes. Otherwise, it’s just like running two operating systems on the same computer, with the drive visible in both. Nothing special happens when you transfer it to another machine.
