Initially, the box won't include a CPU cooler for the 7700k, and the cooler's presence depends on your maximum overclock level. However, a 240mm AIO should work well for most overclock configurations.

Don't overlook the PSU either. Overclocking uses more energy.

the improvement in performance is notable when switching to the 7700k, as long as you can fully overclock the processor. Since you're using the Z270 motherboard already, the main cost will be for the CPU and cooling system, which makes it a smart choice for the future.
