Could this alternative RAM module function properly?
I only possess 8GB of storage and am seeking to upgrade it to 16GB. However, the current model is no longer available anywhere except possibly through eBay, which would take about two months for delivery. While drafting this, I came across an alternative: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 2400MHz CL16 SODIMM - BLS2K4G4S240FSD. Should I be safe assuming it would fit? I have multiple RAM slots on my motherboard, a B350 PC MATE.
SODIMM is laptop RAM, requires a converter. Look for another option. You can easily swap it with a similar 2400MHz 8GB DDR4 stick at a lower cost; most systems will function well together.
