I refer to metrics like Ghz, threads, handles, and utilization percentages. I notice these figures in my task manager and find them interesting, yet I’m not sure what they actually represent. Also, even though my utilization might be very low—like 1% or 0—the speed remains high at 4GHz. Shouldn’t performance drop when utilization is minimal? That’s why I’m asking.

Ghz refers to the CPU's clock speed. Utilization indicates how much of the CPU is active. Processes represent the number of running programs and services. I haven't fully grasped the concepts of threads and handles. I'm hoping this clarified things.

The speed remains high at 4GHz, but it shouldn’t drop when usage increases. Your CPU stays at maximum turbo, which might be affecting the result.

The optimal setting I discovered is switching to "Power Saving," which causes a slowdown in your CPU's clock speed. I managed to bring it down to around 2.5GHz.

I completed that task but the frequency remains at 3.9Ghz. I opened the BIOS and confirmed the CPU clocks are set to auto.
