I bought the AE-5 sound card yesterday. Installing it into the MoBo model you mentioned caused issues with the red and blue sections. I’m unsure if it will work properly without horizontal positioning, and I don’t want to risk damaging the red part.

Great news! This prevents the installation of that pos thing. The onboard audio performs much better than the soundblaster. It lacks most features in Windows 11 because of significant driver issues—no Dolby, Atmos, DTS, etc. It doesn’t work properly if you need sound, and it often sounds poor on many boards due to PCIE problems. The design doesn’t fit, but nothing is lost.

This red item is for replacing a lost 100 euros. Can I install it in the PCI-E X16 port?

Typical older boards lacked physical barriers, making this soundblaster technically outside its intended design. It can fit into an x16 slot and will function similarly to the original.

Well then, I will install it to the bottom pci-e slot x16. There is nothing in the way. I think this sound card is way more superior then any onboard audio. I have one so I know. What is onboard audio except Realtek garbage. Though the board is not that old so probably better version of Realtek chip with op amp.

The Asus Crosshair VIII Hero onboard sound performs adequately. A blind test would likely go unnoticed. Top-tier ROG audio combines the ROG SupremeFX S1220 with the ESS® ES9023P, offering crisp sound for headsets and unique cans.

It seems the atmosphere lights up each time I launch a game, even though I've purchased the license.

I don’t have any information about your specific motherboard, but placing it in the bottom X16 slot might make the top one X8. Review the guidelines! The sound card should be superior to built-in audio, and people have liked studio-quality USB interfaces for years—often priced between $100 and $200.

With quality speakers, a good soundcard significantly improves the audio experience versus built-in options. On my earlier computer, I used an Asus Xonar D2, which performed exceptionally well.

I'm not confident about that. If it's accurate, I'll set it up on an x16 machine elsewhere.
