We're thrilled we were able to assist! The solution likely involved reinstalling or disabling USB devices.

I'm desperately awaiting the OP's return for any new info on how the game has been running. I have a 7800 XT as well (Ryzen 7600, 2x16gb 6000mhz, 2tb nvme, Corsair rm850x 80+, W11, stock, now at auto-undervot GPU). I have 60+ hours in E33 (gamepass version) but I've only had 3 instant PC shutdowns in that entire time. Many 10's of consecutive hours were perfectly fine for me. The bulk of that time, and after the first shutdown, I tried turning down settings, undervolting GPU, changing PSU, and limiting to 40fps with RTSS. I thought I was in the clear after around the 40+ hours mark of no further shutdowns until today I finally got another full PC shutdown on my 2nd playthrough during a specific instance of effects that happen in the Visage Axon boss fight. Event viewer didn't even log that the PC shut itself down, no critical errors, it's like nothing happened. After booting the game back up and monitoring performance/temps it seems like Expedition 33 has some janky visual effects that skyrocket the GPU hotspot temps from like 70 to 100+ for a second or two (Maybe this is normal for some games? I have not seen anything like that in other games). If I had to guess I would say that this could be the culprit. The game never shutdown my PC while just running around or getting into regular mob battles, it was always a specific action or moment right when a specific effect triggered in a cutscene.
