Hey there, I own an ASUS ROG Strix Z370-f with an Intel i5 8600k and a Radeon RX 570 GC. It serves as my media hub for movies, music, Star Trek Online, and classics like Civilization 4, Sim City 4, and Alice the Madness. Would overclocking the processor and graphics card really help? Thanks!

Overclocking the CPU is beneficial mainly when nearing a performance limit or aiming for higher frame rates in games like CS:GO. It should work well in those situations.

You invested in a premium CPU and motherboard, right? The main distinction from your B360 + i5 8600 lies in overclocking. Because you went the extra mile, take advantage of it.

You might achieve a 10 to 25 percent boost in efficiency.

Yes, for media it doesn't really matter, but for games it does count. I boosted my CPU and GPU settings to improve performance in Blender and games like Witcher 3, though the gains are minimal in slower titles.
