Could boosting the NB frequency enhance your frame rate?
So im using a a10 5800k with a 16% oc and noticed an option in my bios for my north bridge frequency, its currently set at 1800Mhz by default and have read mixed results about whether or not ocing it will improve performance. Can anyone tell me whether or not an oc to 2400Mhz would see any noticable gains in performance
The northbridge is designed for memory overclocking, which means certain situations can influence FPS. One possibility is employing a dedicated GPU, though this is rare since memory frequency rarely caps FPS. Another scenario involves using the CPU's built-in graphics, which might boost performance by utilizing system memory. Overall, you might see some improvement on CPU/memory tasks but not much in games. For more details, check this article: http://www.madshrimps.be/articles/articl...z3vrUJDoWR
