Hello, I remember playing Mass Effect 3 a few months ago and getting it at a good price from Origin. I really enjoyed the game and spent over 30 hours playing it. After learning that Mass Effect 2 is considered the best in the series, I decided to start with it. Now I’m wondering if it’s better to jump straight into Mass Effect 2 or go through the earlier titles first, since my first Mass Effect was number three. Cheers!

It's a good idea to play a game that was decent enough to earn you two more.

To begin the journey, playing from the initial game makes sense. You’ll likely also need to utilize the save import feature, which lets you fully feel the consequences of your decisions. In short, if you’re okay with the visuals of the first installment (some may not), that’s perfectly fine.

It's frustrating, but you'll have to try it if you want to compete with the others.

Definitely play ME1, it's a great game. The combat is less evolved from the other two but the rest of the game is excellent. Especially the Mako. Love the Mako.

The game felt overly simplified, losing much of its RPG elements as it progressed.

It was a chill, laid-back vibe with a lot of Mass Effect 1 wandering around without much focus. The Mako was really cool, and I didn’t mind the shift away from traditional RPG elements.
