The 1440p medium-high configuration on an iGPU is quite demanding. The total power draw ranges from 120 to 140 watts. As noted in the video, it's a prototype and the CPU-GPU power distribution isn't finalized. It seems similar to other GPU binning methods—using a different model like the 8c/16t 32CU Max 385 might deliver around 10% better performance at a lower cost. The difference between 32CU and 40CU isn't just about speed; TDP and memory bandwidth also play a role. If a full Max 385 version stayed under 15% and under $1000, it would definitely be a win.
