Hey everyone!
A few months back my PC began stuttering or lagging suddenly. I searched everywhere but nothing resolved the problem.
I replaced every part except the SSD, and even swapped out the motherboard which seemed to help. After that, it started stuttering again, though much less severe.
Last week I decided to upgrade my BIOS to the newest version, and after that the issue returned to its previous level with the old motherboard.
My friend thought it might be related to the power supply unit. I’m not sure, but could a bad PSU damage the motherboard? I tried another reliable PSU and it didn’t make a difference. My current PSU (Corsair RM750) is three years old and brand new.
If anyone has any suggestions or knows something that could help, please share. If you need more details, just ask. Thanks for reading!

Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information.
PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build).
Disk drive(s): specifications, capacity, current usage.
Check Reliability History/Monitor for any error codes, warnings, or events near the stuttering moments.
Also examine Task Manager and Resource Monitor (use each once only) to track performance changes.
Observe shifts in system behavior when stuttering begins and ends.

The updates are interesting because my GPU usage usually stays low (0-2%) in the task manager, but it spikes in the Nvidia overlay. Some games stutter more while others don’t much at all—like The Finals, where one map runs almost smoothly. Stuttering tends to happen mainly when navigating the map, not when staying still or moving the camera. In Snowrunner, the stutters are extremely frequent, happening every few seconds during movement, sometimes lasting up to half a second. The Finals, however, generally have very brief interruptions, often just 1-2 seconds.

I will also verify the reliability monitor, task manager, and resource monitor later once I connect to my PC.
