Hey there! I see you're having some issues with Cortana. You mentioned living in Denmark and using the metric system before the Windows update, but now it seems she's switching to imperial units when you ask for weather updates. That’s unusual. Also, you noted that changing the clock and region settings didn’t help, even though your PC was already set to metric. The rest of your system still works fine with metric. Have anyone else experienced this? How can I resolve it? And since your notebook is missing, I’m not sure how to integrate smart home controls anymore. Hopefully, Cortana’s settings are the issue. Thanks for your time!

Ensure the settings function properly by adjusting the units appropriately. If needed, revert to metric measurements and verify the conversion.

My prediction comes from the fact that Microsoft separated Cortana from Windows and turned her into a separate app. Based on your location in the UK using Windows 2004, I recommend checking your regional settings in the Windows settings app. That’s the most likely solution.

You seem fortunate—Cortana isn't showing up where you expect, despite working well before. It might help to verify the app's regional settings.

I just check my regional setting and it shows English (Denmark). I tried switching it to the UK to see if it makes a difference.

Oof, this happened once... You probably need to change your locale settings to just Japan. That turns off Cortana. After that, switch back to your real region and it should fix itself. Don’t forget to restart the computer after each step. Hope that helps!
