For a short while everything ran smoothly with my new build. Then stability problems appeared—game crashes, BSODs, unexpected restarts. I was using an Asus TUF Gaming x570 Plus with Wi-Fi, Ryzen 5 5600X, Corsair Vengeance 3600 MT/s, and EVGA 3080 ftw3. I thought the issue was related to GPU overclocking, so I set it to stock speeds. No improvement. Disabled PBO and Auto OC, but nothing changed. Swapped RAM slots to try again, reset to default DDR4 speeds. Still no success. As a final attempt (beginner level), I reset CMOS and booted everything from scratch except for driver updates. It worked. I was able to turn PBO and Auto OC back on, but the RAM wouldn’t run stably even at the rated 3600 MT/s or lower. After some research online, I found that Corsair Vengeance chips aren’t ideal for AMD systems—performance depends a lot on luck. I’m planning to try g.skill Ripjaws (Mobo is available in their QVL) once it’s released today. I’ll update you after testing.

Steer clear of Corsair products when using Ryzen. It's not ideal. My other setups run Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 on a GB Aorus B450 with 1600x AF and GTX 1070, plus Corsair Dominator 3600 on an MSI MPG M-ITX board featuring 3600x and RTX 2060.

I think the PSU should manage it. My current build gives me around 565w, and I’m wondering if the surge would need to exceed the 850w spec to trip it, or if it could handle more than the three PCIe cables plus the 16 slots. EVGA recommends a 750w unit, so I thought adding another 100w would be safe. This is similar to what I experienced with another GPU—its drawing was only about 140w, which also caused problems.
