Corsair Vengeance RAM RGB modules aren't showing up in the system settings.
Hey tech enthusiasts, I need your take on this. I just assembled a PC for a friend and everything seemed normal. It booted up, Windows installed, license activated, and it worked perfectly. I set up iCue to manage the fans—three intake, one exhaust, and a 360mm AIO unit. All Corsair fans were visible in iCue initially. But after a few days, the RAM disappeared from iCue entirely, though the RGB stayed active in Rainbow mode. Now it doesn’t show up at all in iCue. I’m stuck because it doesn’t appear as a device.
What I did before this issue: turned XMP on, updated chipset drivers from the motherboard site, installed LAN controller driver, applied Windows updates, and ran the Wallpaper Engine—temporarily overriding the RGB. I also tried reinstalling Corsair, resetting the PC, and even disabled XMP after a reset. Checked for ASUS AURA software controlling RAM, re-seated the RAM, and looked into Armoury Crate.
Things still pending: verify if Armoury Crate is installed and managing RAM, enable XMP, set FALSE SDP Write, disable it.
Specs: ASUS Prime Z690, Intel i7 12700, EVGA RTX 3070 Ti, 8GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance 5600, 2x16GB RGB.
I’ll dig deeper tomorrow but this is getting frustrating. Everything was fine until my friend brought it home—though he handled it carefully. Hope you all can help!
