I just set up my first gaming PC and everything seems to be functioning properly, but the RAM isn't reaching its full speed. For example, I'm using an ASRock B550 Taichi with a Ryzen 7 3800X and Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 4000MHz. It's capped at 2133 MHz, even though I changed the BIOS settings to 4000 MHz. That's puzzling. I'm familiar with computer basics, but I'm not sure what all the technical terms mean.
Did you turn on XMP or adjust the speed yourself? It’s best to set your RAM to a maximum of 3600MHz so the Infinity Fabric runs smoothly at full speed. At 4000MHz you’re actually experiencing performance loss.
