I've been using a Thermaltake Frio before switching to Hydro H75. I chose liquid cooling because I wanted to hit 5GHZ. I installed the H75 and kept my old Frio since its specs were decent.
Fan Speed: 1200 ~ 2500 RPM
Max Air Pressure: 4.2 mmH2O
Max Air Flow: 101.6 CFM
After some testing, I was a bit disappointed. Here are the results:
On the Frio in idle with low fans and high fan speed (2560rpm) using Prime95, the temperature stayed within acceptable limits.
I also tried idle mode with low fan speed and compression via Prime95 without overclocking. Does anyone think this is normal? Am I just expecting Hydro H75 to perform better?
