Correcting Dying Light Effects in Performance Fix issues with fading or loss of light during gameplay.
I discovered the method to improve Dying Light performance. Before Fix: 30FPS After Fix: 60-70FPS Step 1: http://www.nexusmods.com/dyinglight/mods/18/? Download this file. (Ignore the warning, run it) Step 2: Open the program and find your "DyingLightGame.exe" Step 3: You’ll notice the need to activate Mods. Do this in the bottom right corner. Step 4: Adjust these settings: uncheck "Enable Sun Shadows" and "Enable Clouds" for the best FPS gain; other options are optional. Suggested settings: "Borderless Window Mode", turn off Film Grain (it doesn’t affect FPS but improves visuals), set priority to Above Normal. If it's merely reducing the viewing distance from 90 to around 40, I'll be extremely frustrated. Please make sure you're meeting your expectations!
It's awesome as it offers extra choices beyond the in-game menu and lets mods function. Looking forward to TechLand fully supporting modding, but this works well now.
