Corrected for severe packet loss issues.
I experience significant packet loss during daytime online gaming, but the connection works smoothly at night after 1 AM. I spoke with my ISP who said they’ll investigate only if my speed drops, though they can’t explain why this affects games. Others told me it might be due to many users in my area using the internet at the same time, which could cause problems when people are asleep. It seems changing ISPs isn’t an option since that’s the only one available here. What can I do myself to minimize packet loss during the day?
It seems you're connected via a residential xDSL service, which is typically shared among multiple users. When many people use the internet simultaneously, the available bandwidth gets divided, potentially leading to slower speeds and higher ping—especially during online gaming. The main solutions are either upgrading to a better connection or switching providers, like moving from DSL to fiber.
