I attempted to lower the voltage using INTEL XTU on my Acer Aspire and ended up damaging it. Now the max core frequency is stuck at 0.40Ghz. Reinstalling XTU won’t fix it since it’s BIOS-related. I’m unsure if there’s a way to reset the BIOS settings for CPU frequency. I also tried removing the CMOS battery for half an hour, but nothing changed after restarting. I’m really worried and need advice right now.

Access the BIOS reset option and also clear your operating system configurations.

You might attempt accessing the BIOS/UEFI settings and restoring them to the default configuration

I tried that, but it didn't work. However, it seems the feedback in the comment helped. Thanks!
