I’m considering moving the Windows 7 OS from your current laptop to the SSD you have, avoiding any other files. It’s feasible if you back up everything first. Just transfer only the operating system without deleting anything else. If you need a clean start, buying a new OS might be simpler.

Avoid transferring an OS to a new SSD, as it often leads to future issues. You may be able to retrieve an activation key from your laptop so you don’t have to purchase a fresh Windows version, though I’m not sure how to obtain it. Once you have the key, simply place a Windows 7 ISO on a USB drive and install Windows for free.
