Can it be applied during delidding under the IHS? Also, is it suitable for use above the IHS?

From what I'm seeing in the forums, it's only advisable to use Liquid Ultra under the IHS to replace the TIM, otherwise a standard thermal paste on top of the IHS should suffice. I'm thinking about doing this with my 7700K as soon as I acquire the delidding tool.

It's really tough to place it correctly between the cooler and processor. The issue gets worse if the cooler is made of aluminum, as it might cause a strong reaction and actually fuse them together. I also tried using a cooler with a chrome finish, but that didn't solve the problem.
