Hello, regarding your mesh Wi-Fi setup, you can use the Deco XE75 as a main modem alongside your ISP modem without needing an ISP modem. The 6E capable router supports advanced features but may require compatible hardware for full functionality. You don’t need a specific ASUS modem unless you want extra options, and you can connect a wan cable directly to either the Deco or ASUS modem if needed. Just ensure your ISP modem has the right ports and capabilities for 6E support.

the proximus modem is fine, dont throw away money replacing a good device. and if you need more / other wifi... disable it's antenna's and hang up your own access points of choice. having that said.. unless you're also upgrading all your devices to wifi6e, there's not much use in upgrading your network equipment.

You can connect the modem directly to the router first, then add the decos afterward. The decos work in either router or access point mode depending on your setup. With 10Gbps arrival, running the mesh system at full speed across all devices is possible, though you’ll need to ensure proper cabling—only one high-speed port should be used for the main 10GbE cable. Speed differences between modes aren’t typically an issue, and the firewall can stay managed by the modem rather than the decos.
