Hello! I have a quick question about converting a SketchUp file to something usable in Inventor. The model was created with Google SketchUp, and while I’ve learned some Autodesk Inventor basics, I’m not very familiar with the software. Is there a simple method to transform it into a format that works well in Inventor? You can share the link if you’d like more details.

Consider setting up Autodesk Maya, employing the Maya SketchUp importer, and then transfer the file from Maya into a compatible program for Inventor.

You'll need to experiment with them during class this week. You only have a Samsung Chromebook available.

Sadly, you can't directly change a SketchUp file for an inventor to work with. You should export it as a step file from SketchUp and then bring it into Inventor, saving it as ipt or iam.
