I have three folders: BDMV, CERTIFICATE, and MAKEMKV. Each folder holds a movie you want to watch, but I’m unsure how to turn it into a MKV file. Searching for conversion methods only shows blue ray to MKV options. Any guidance would be helpful.

Uncertain about our ability to assist here since the situation is unclear. If the file was downloaded, we can't help bypass copyright restrictions—check the documentation or refer to the included help files for guidance.

then it becomes a film if you did it right. just launch the folder until you locate the video file and if your system can manage the files, proceed. I transferred all my BRs to a shared network folder a few years back and could choose formats or decide whether to keep only the movie or additional content. i’m not sure what rip method you used but your files are in that folder. since i’m unclear on the guidelines for this matter—backups seem okay as far as I know—the best approach is to open the top folder and inspect the contents. sometimes there are scattered chapters or segments. also, there should be a file that tells your player to play the complete movie; if you can’t open it with windows apps, try VLC.
