Lian received an updated version, got two controllers plus strimmer cables. A hub wouldn't fit well. Right now it's using one SATA to link both controllers and the front panel. Including a hub would require another SATA cable and more controllers plus cables, which is really excessive.
You don’t think there’s everything concealed on the motherboard… take out the 3.5-inch drive holder? There must be a place to store it somewhere. My AH T600 is accessible, and I have the narrow gap between the power supply and the case wall at the back where I can tuck the controllers behind the front panels.
Exposed completely? Yes, there’s enough space for a cooling setup, though there’s still some material near the tray. In the worst scenario, you could relocate the controllers into the cradle as well.
