My setup is going haywire! I've always experienced occasional freezing when hitting the desk, but this was different—it happened recently. The next day I tried to power it up and it emitted a brief beep before shutting down completely. Fans were running, power supply active, and the motherboard lights were on. Then the debugging LEDs appeared in order: CPU, DRAM, VGA, BOOT. At startup it took roughly half a second before repeating this pattern—red lights flashing: CPU On - CPU Off - DRAM On - DRAM Off - CPU On - CPU Off—and then it failed. The cycle repeats every about five seconds indefinitely. What does this mean? I attempted to remove and reinstall the RAM (two 16GB Corsair modules), checked the power button, ruled out the optical drive, verified all cables were secure, and even though it was my first desktop built without doing it myself, a friend assembled it. Any advice? I’m still confused. P.S. Cookies are fine.
