FTP isn't the best choice. Opt for FTPS if you need certificate signing, or consider an HTTP server like HFS... https://www.rejetto.com/hfs/

FileZilla is a tool for managing files on a server, while WebDAV offers a simpler way to access and share files over the web without needing complex configurations.

If you can't configure it correctly, everything is vulnerable.

If a graphical interface isn't necessary, SSH works well in Terminal or with PuTTY. For file handling beyond basic editors, tools like WinSCP (SFTP client) can help, though you'd still need to download files if editing complex content. To get direct remote access, consider setting up an encrypted tunnel into your network or using Remote Desktop solutions such as Teamviewer, which is free for personal use.

Set up a Wi-Fi hotspot on your device and configure it as an access point. If the issue persists, reach out to your network administrator for further assistance.

If you're referring to an encrypted tunnel, I don't have enough information to help you get started. I only have a general idea of a few options, such as methods or software like AnyDesk, which is similar to Teamviewer in terms of licensing and is free for personal use. I'm not familiar with other providers beyond that. I'm curious about how Teamviewer views commercial activities from you. There may be additional services available but I don't know about them.

No, you can't simply forward a port and map a network drive without using a VPN.
