Continuous PC Problems – Graphics Failures in Applications
Hi there, I’ve faced many challenges with my computer over the years and have had to swap out several components. Now I’m beginning to think I might be misusing my system or missing a key step. In short, I’ve spent a lot of time searching online, trying fixes, and facing various problems, and I’m starting to feel discouraged. The main issue here is that while playing games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Fortnite, and Marvel Rivals, everything runs smoothly with no lag or performance drops—until around two hours in. Then the game suddenly crashes, showing error messages. The latest crash in Marvel Rivals displayed a kernel32 dump with details about the operating system version and a specific error code. What’s unusual is that my PC works perfectly for other tasks, such as editing 4K videos in Premiere Pro. My current specs are: CPU – Intel Core i9-14900KF, Cooler – Phanteks Glacier One 360M25, GPU – msi rtx 2080 Ti, RAM – 32GB DDR5 FURY Beast, Motherboard – ASUS TUF GAMING H770-PRO, running Windows 11. I’ve updated all drivers and the BIOS to the newest versions. I replaced my CPU last year because of a known Intel problem. Have others had similar experiences? Any advice on resolving this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead!
No, I haven't performed any memory tests such as Memtest86+ or PassMark Memtest86.
I checked the RAM using both MemTest86+ and PassMark MemTest86 due to other problems like Chrome freezing while gaming. At first, I relied heavily on Chrome, so I spent less time on the game issues. Later, I discovered a known problem with the Intel Core i9-14900KF CPU, which I replaced with an identical model. Before swapping the CPU, I also updated my BIOS. Despite these changes, the game problems persisted. I could play for 1–3 hours before crashing, so I didn’t focus on fixing them then. Now, with the holidays coming up and more gaming, the crashes are even more annoying. I really need to fix this now.
You have options to test both models. Please let me know which storage devices you're interested in and the latest firmware versions available.
Samsung drives are serviced and upgraded via Samsung Magician. WD Dashboard Corsair's drives appear to rely on the Corsair SSD Toolbox. It seems the setup is somewhat outdated.
