People wonder if spending 100 dollars on the contact frame for the 13th gen is justified. Is there a real issue that could shorten its lifespan? Unfortunately, ThermalRight's version isn't available anymore, so the only option is the Thermal Grizzly model priced at 100 dollars.
It really depends on the temperature threshold, but I’d be skeptical unless you have flexibility with the money. In short, $100 could go toward a better cooler to handle the increasing heat, rather than just being spent elsewhere.
I considered allocating $100 to the GPU, but I’m still a bit uncertain. It’s unclear if the bending issue could really cause the CPU to fail early.
I aim for a 4070, currently I own a 1660. I intend to construct it this summer.
Thermalright is available on Aliexpress for $10, but you might not need it after all.
