I personally use Nintendo 64 and NES emulators and find it truly excellent for accessing first-party Nintendo titles on PC.

Switch is simulated even though there aren't many great titles. 3ds runs smoothly and GameCube works well. For a reason, aside from Nintendo, other systems were not continued to be emulated.

I'm not entirely clear on your point of view beyond emulation's value on PC. I favor using genuine hardware and sending it to a capture card.

If I have access to the console, I prefer to softly mod it as I did with my old PSP.
I'll only consider using a PC console emulation if there are no better alternatives, such as the N64, because the PSP doesn't have enough power for a good emulation and the PS Vita emulator runs inside the PSP emulator (adrenaline, kind of like emulatorception XD).
