Consistent crashes or slow startup times on Windows when using an LG OLED as a secondary display and switching inputs.
I've got an LGC9 and this problem only appeared after switching to Windows 11. Removing the TV fixes everything and the PC works normally. I'm not sure if it's the TV or something else. I'm here seeking advice and hoping others have faced a similar situation. Only my post can help me locate something comparable. The problems I'm experiencing: Slower loading times When I first booted up, the login screen could take up to a minute to appear Software like Steam might need over five minutes or not start at all Switching from PS5 back to PC results in complete input loss and frozen display Variations where every screen goes black and shows no signal What I've tried: Updating the TV Updating Windows Resetting BIOS disabling XMP Reinstalling Windows from a flash drive Using DDU in Safe Mode to reinstall Nvidia Drivers Enabling/Disabling G-Sync Testing a different HDMI cable Testing another HDMI port on the TV Trying the GPU on a different monitor to check if it's the GPU (it isn't) My specifications: MSI Pro Z790-A WIFI 13700k 32GB DDR5 6400 FTW3 RTX 3080 2tb 980 Pro LGC9 55 32in LG Ultrawide 27in Acer Predator
The length of the cable isn't specified. Are there additional devices connected to the TV, such as a satellite receiver?
The cable is 35 feet long and it's an active one. I also used a non-active cable at 1440p and still faced the same problem. Neither of these cables had any issues on Windows 10. I have a PS5 and Shield Pro connected to my TV, but not using SAT.
I understand, but the solution won't fully address my problem since I'm using both devices.
