I checked out a B450 motherboard at a good discount, but I'm a bit worried it might not fit your setup.

A solid price point is achievable. It might also assist in evaluating options. Currently, B450 models priced below $50 seem reasonable. Higher-end versions remain viable for about $75 when sourced secondhand, especially since 500-series boards are widely available.

Board type and quantity were in question. If the offer seems unusually low—such as $20 for a high-end board—it might indicate a deal. Otherwise, unless there are other suspicious signs, foul play seems unlikely. Used B450 boards are popular since they lack PCIe Gen 4, prompting many to switch to B550 or X570 for storage solutions. Whether this upgrade makes sense varies, but it does occur. With the introduction of Alder Lake, AM4 is also becoming less common.

If it sounds too perfect, it might not be real. The B450 is a solid motherboard I’ve been using for a year without any problems. Be cautious if you buy from eBay or similar sites—check the seller reputation and read reviews carefully. Hope this gives you some clarity!
