The Taichi is the top-tier board most people would choose, offering excellent performance for around 98%. At $200 it stands out as a strong option, but for practical purposes, the ATX Steel Legend remains a solid choice. Priced at $140, it delivers solid value with a slightly less powerful VRM, no x8/x8 support, no WiFi, and no BIOS flashback. Unless you need those features, the ATX Steel Legend is the better pick. I haven't encountered any problems with this setup on my system, including maxing out rear USB ports on my X570 Aorus Master. It's worth considering if you're open to it.
I've noticed more unusual problems with boards—things that should function but don't. My X570 Ace has been particularly frustrating lately; it completely stops auto-recovery, making it hard to set up overclocks without resetting CMOS. Loading profiles often needs mouse interaction, or you'll end up stuck in an endless menu loop.
