I have the specs: Mobo: MSI B550 Tomahawk CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock cooler) RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3600 Case: Fractal Design Define R6 TG. After rendering large files, I noticed my CPU temps stay high even at room temperature. I’m considering switching to a better cooler. Some liquid AIOs came up, but I don’t think it’s worth the risk, especially since extra contact points aren’t crucial for me. I’m leaning toward air cooling and Noctua’s Mighty D15, but I’d like some advice on its performance for my setup, particularly if I plan to overclock. Another concern is whether I can run dual fans with my current RAM sizes—do they fit and provide enough cooling? Honestly, I’m too busy to test them right now.
I don't believe a D15 is necessary for a basic stock 3600 setup. A solid 4/5 heatpipe tower in the $20-30 range, such as the SE 224 XT or VETROO V5, should handle cooling efficiently without issues and won't cause clearance problems.
