This matters mainly for the i9 model due to its high power consumption. It seems unlikely to deliver significant improvements over the 13600k example. What’s important is whether Intel creates an ILM that balances performance across all cores without forcing a sealed contact design that limits profitability. In contrast, when pressure is concentrated at the bottom of AM5 CPUs, it works better because the I/O dies typically draw around 20W TDP, whereas CCDs can spike to about 100W each.

I've experienced no issues thus far with the 12700F.

The LGA 1700 contact frame essentially offers a range of performance options, especially for the i9. It might help with the 12700 but is more suited to the 13900k. Compared to liquid metal, it provides better CPU benefits, making it a worthwhile investment if you're looking for quality. The price is around $15, which might seem steep but could be justified if you're committed to the upgrade.
