I don't feel that way... It shouldn't slow down further, so... I believe only the additional storage on your HDD will improve things.
Pagefile doesn't influence overall system speed. For machines with limited RAM, it acts as a temporary storage extension. If you run out of real RAM, the system begins relying on the pagefile. Some applications and programs still use the pagefile even when ample RAM is present. BF4 falls into this category. If you're dealing with storage constraints for your OS SSD, consider transferring most data to a larger HDD. I currently have minimal space on my SSD—just 256MB—as a precaution. For additional capacity, I've expanded it to 8GB on my HDD, matching the physical drive size.
Keep the pagefile active, it won’t just lead to strange issues that are hard to fix, such as programs crashing unexpectedly without warning. You might still see some alerts when performing many tasks or playing games if there’s a lack of available space. Even with ample free RAM, memory isn’t stored in perfect blocks; it’s organized based on free areas. For example, with 10GB free but split into small chunks like 10MB, software can’t run smoothly because the data isn’t contiguous. Let Windows handle the pagefile management, and everything should work properly.
